In its continuing drive to bring beauty and a sense of peace to the social service environment,The Salvation Army's Alegria Transitional Village will host an opening reception of the art of Johnathan Puls. Guests will not only be able to enjoy the artistic expression of Mr. Puls' painting, but will also enjoy the music of the band, No Little Kindness.

The exhibition opens Thursday October 30th from 4pm to 8pm with music starting at 7pm at The Salvation Army's Alegria Transitional Village at 2737 W. Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles. Alegria is a progessive facility that gives hope and and new lives to those suffering from HIV/AIDS.

Alegria Transitional VillageThe art of Jonathan Puls explores the creation of memory through the lives of his immediate family in rich paintings that combine powerful portraiture and the unique landscape of Southern California. No Little Kindness is a band that "comes together like stew, everyone tossing in favorite ingredients and letting them all simmer until something beautiful emerges. We pray a lot because we all know that we're broken and in need of healing. That's really why we make our music--to be made whole, to rejoice even in our pain and nagging doubt, to sing when everything inside us wants to be silent and shout when the joy can't be restrained."
