Along with the rest of the country, The Salvation Army was saddened by the news of the passing of Johnny Grant on January 9. He was a man who not only dedicated himself to the entertainment industry and its “home” town which he loved so well, but to the service of others.

This past November, The Salvation Army honored Mr. Grant with a lifetime achievement award for his decades of philanthropic good works. He was a person of profound energy and a deep and abiding love for everyone he met. His efforts on behalf of The Salvation Army here in Southern California will forever be remembered and The Salvation Army would like to offer its sincerest condolences to Mr. Grant’s family and his legion of friends.
