The Southern California Division played host to more than 2,000 homeless individuals and families at their annual Thanksgiving Eve dinner celebration at the Hollywood Palladium. The event marked the ninth consecutive year the Division hosted the event.

Army’s Southern California Division Unveils The World’s Largest Kettle
The Salvation Army, Southern California Division, celebrated the official start of the Christmas Fundraising season by unveiling The World’s Largest Kettle. The historic unveiling took place during the division’s annual Kettle Kickoff celebration, Nov. 20 at the Los Angeles Farmers Market.The giant kettle weighed in at 300 pounds, and stood nine feet tall with a width of 13 feet.
Angela Lansbury, legendary star of stage and screen, shared High Tea with members of the Southern California Division’s HOPE Brigade in early September. While best known for her portrayal of mystery author Jessica Fletcher in "Murder, She Wrote", Lansbury’s story involved her childhood memories of The Salvation Army in London during the Great Depression.
