The second annual “Hot in Hollywood” charity celebration featuring some of the entertainment industry’s most promising rising stars was held at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theater in Hollywood. The star-studded event was organized to lend financial support to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Alegria, a transitional housing complex operated by The Salvation Army for those living with HIV/AIDS.
Emmy award winning actress and star of “My Name is Earl” Jamie Pressly hosted the evenings festivities which included performances from such stars as fellow Emmy award winning actress and star of “Ugly Betty,” America Ferrera, and “Carpoolers” star Jerry O’Connell.
One of the many highlights of the evening occurred when Jaime Pressly modeled a dress designed by Hollywood mainstay designer Randolph Duke created entirely out of recycled ties that came from a Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Michael Medico, the person who organized the event, was overwhelmed by the response of the Hollywood community and their commitment to help those organizations like The Salvation Army to help others in most need. “Hot in Hollywood is a dream come true to me and I am thrilled that we could make this event so amazing and in the process raise money and awareness for our two charities AHF and The Salvation Army’s Alegria HIV/AIDS housing facility.” |
