Napoleon said an army travels on its stomach. The Salvation Army travels on the commitment and generosity of friends like Fritz Coleman. A staple of local news media, Fritz has been the weekday weathercaster on the KNBC4 evening telecast since June of 1984. A man of many talents, he has written, produced, and starred in three one-man plays. His first production “It’s Me Dad!” won the coveted 1997 Artistic Directors Award.
Fritz has also been a tireless worker on behalf of The Salvation Army. He has participated in Kettle Kick-Off campaigns, food drives, toy drives, and for the past 12 years has lent his good name and his exceptional talents to a charity golf tournament that seems to grow larger and more spectacular every year. |
